As well as office-based management and professional staff, Scomac employs a number of qualified managers who are site based. We pride ourselves on the low turnover of staff.
- We further supplement our site staff with specialist sub-contractors where necessary. Over the years we have developed excellent relationships with many reliable construction specialists.
- We run a fully equipped fleet of vans that use a comprehensive selection of plant and access equipment where necessary.
David McCloskey, ACIBSE, Director
David started work as an engineer with MJN Limited in Croydon in the mid-1980s. After gaining experience at several other companies in the UK and abroad, he started his own company in 1998, working in all aspects of the building services industry including audio visual and IT installation throughout the UK. He met David Scott later that year and the rest is history!
Scomac Services was created in 1998 and has been based in Aldershot. The company has achieved rapid growth over the past 8 years and has developed into a friendly and efficient company.
Dave enjoys travelling and is keen on a wide selection of sporting activities.

David Scott, B Eng (Hons), Director
A former project leader with a large M&E contractor, David has spent many years working on large projects within the industry. In 1998 he joined up with David McCloskey and launched Scomac Services Ltd, a building services company aiming to offer a fresh look at service by being proactive and developing trust with clients and contractors alike.
He said: “I feel that the industry is beginning to surface from the dark ages and believe that proper partnering can greatly enhance the credibility and relationship of client/contractor and sub-contractor.”
When not hard at work, David enjoys skiing and spending quality time with his family.

Clive Townsend - Mechanical Services Manager
Clive has worked in the mechanical services industry for 25 years in a variety of roles. He has worked on large projects within the leisure industry (cinemas, nightclubs and leisure centres), and also within a consultancy as a consulting engineer, working on a range of blue chip commercial retail projects.
Married with 3 daughters, Clive manages a careful work-life balance.

Steve Roots - Mechanical Engineer
Steve has recently joined Scomac Services. He is a highly experienced project manager with an excellent working knowledge of construction health and safety legislation. Steve brings a wide range of experience within the commercial, retail and government projects.
When not working for Scomac, Steve is busy building his own house, which he shares with his wife and son.

Barbie McSean, General Manager
Specialising in company re-organisation and start-ups, Barbie joined Scomac Services as General Manager. A new managerial post within the company, her role is to manage the day-to-day operation of the company and to help develop the business.
In the past, she has worked in small-to-medium sized companies, many of which have been in the early stages of development. Most notable of these were as Support Manager for the ThrustSSC Project and as Business Systems Manager for Richard Noble's aircraft design company, Farnborough-Aircraft.com. Barbie has also worked for an international property sales company, a major telecoms consultancy, and as an information specialist in the City.
In her spare time, Barbie enjoys riding her motorbike and distillery tours!
